My junior year in high school, going in, I thought that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I love animals and helping them. I always heard people say "everyone changes their majors before getting to college". I always thought "NOT ME! I am going to be a vet forever and always". When starting at St. Martin's my junior year I joined the school newspaper. This one little decision changed everything. I was asked to be one of the photo editors, I thought to myself "wow are my photos really that good, I have never really done photography before". After that, I took photos of everything. This opened so many doors for me. My father helped me see that I needed to change my major, that journalism was the way to go for me. Thanks to him there were many opportunities that I knew I had to take to help further my career. As a Lawyer, my dad gets a lot of important business and between my junior and senior year, a lot of press came his way. Of course, as my father, he told them all about me, and boy was I thankful. One opportunity that I got was to have an internship where I wrote a blog. Once that ended I decided I needed to start my own blog. That is how I got here. I like to write, but only if it is on my own terms, boundaries give me major writer's block. With this blog, I get to write about the things that I know, that I think of. This is a way for me to show my writing and photography. I do not expect a lot of people to look at my blog, it is just a new thing right now, but I hope that this could be become an important part of my life and be really big one day. Maybe more than just my mom will be liking every article I post. I do not really know what will happen next but whatever does can be read here.
