In the past few years, I have been to a few festivals and a concert. There are many differences between the two. With festivals, it is multiple performers over multiple days. There are many stages with performers going on all at once. There is also really good food everywhere. When I went the second time that I went to Voodoo the weather was great. Bad weather can ruin a festival, nobody wants to stand outside in the bad weather. Voodoo is always centered around the weekend of Halloween, in New Orleans that is the time of the year that the weather is cooling down but it's not really cold. For Bonnaroo, it was the beginning of summer, right after I graduated from high school. Bonnaroo was an unplanned trip with friends. A very spur of the moment thing. That means new outfits. Concerts, I have definitely been to less of those in my life. My first concert I was eight years old. Demi Lovato performed at the house of blues in New Orleans. The last concert was in the middle of March this year. I really had not listened to their music that much but did not hate it. Some of my friends were going and it was a cheap concert because it was a small venue. Actually, a few weeks before the concert, the performer, Eden, released their new album so more people wanted tickets. To fix this they moved the concert to a larger venue. The great thing about these two concerts I have been being that they are standing room concerts. That means smaller groups and not having to deal with seats and rows. They are also cheaper because there are no reserving seats. Concerts and or festivals are great ways to spend time with friends, listen to artists that you like, and find new artists to listen to.
